The Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Carlsbad, California, has been established to promote greater awareness, knowledge and appreciation of big band and jazz music.

Since our inception in 1977, the Hall of Fame has inducted over 200 individuals who have greatly impacted, influenced and educated the world through music. Our hope is that Our Inductee list will continue to maintain the recognition these people so rightly deserve.

We have developed music education programs to perpetuate the arts in grade schools up though adults in out-reach programs. Our most comprehensive endeavors in jazz and big band education is here on our web site - the award winning Jazzology searchable database. This remarkable resource contains a full history of jazz; biographies on over 2,000 legends with cross-reference search capabilities to ensure fast and effective results to keyword searches as well as category searches. For example, you can search for all bandleaders who played trumpet or all tenor saxophonists in the bebop era. Our goals is to make the history of jazz and big band music as friendly and accessible as possible to everyone.

The Hall of Fame Foundation is also committed to the long-term goal of creating a museum and concert hall, similar to that drafted in this rendering.
